Q1: How does UYD differ from UY?
A: UY has three equal-diameter ports. UYD provides a different-diameter third port, enabling built-in reducing with the Y split.
Q2: When should I choose UYD over TBY (threaded Y)?
A: Choose TBY when you must fasten to valves or metal piping. Choose UYD for tube-to-tube reducing with quick, tool-free service.
Q3: Which tubing sizes and materials are supported?
A: Nylon (PA) and polyurethane (PU) metric tubing; models include 6→4, 8→6, 10→8, and 12→10 mm step-downs covering the 4–12 mm family.
Q4: Any installation/removal tips?
A: Cut the tube end square and deburr; push fully to the stop and perform a light pull test. For removal, press the release ring evenly before pulling to protect the O-ring and collet.
Q5: Is there a fixed flow direction?
A: No. Any port can be inlet or outlet. For balanced splitting, use single-port in and dual-port out.
Q6: What operating range and durability should I expect?
A: Reference 0–0.9 MPa and 5–60 °C. In vibrating environments, secure the body near the branch to shorten unsupported spans and reduce fatigue.
Q7: Is it reusable?
A: Yes. If leakage or grip loss occurs, replace the entire fitting.
Q8: Can it be used with vacuum or liquids?
A: Primarily for compressed air. For vacuum or liquids, verify material compatibility and validate under actual operating conditions.
