FAQ
Q1: What is the TAKEX UM Series?
A: This UM Series consists of miniature side-on embedded amplifier photo sensors for built-in equipment and compact conveyor applications.
Q2: What models are available?
A: The current lineup includes UM-T51DNS, UM-T51DNSV, UM-T51NS, and UM-T51NSV.
Q3: What sensing method does the UM Series use?
A: All four models use through-beam sensing.
Q4: What is the detecting distance?
A: All current models provide a 500 mm detecting distance.
Q5: What power supply does the UM Series use?
A: All models operate from 12–24VDC.
Q6: What output does the UM Series provide?
A: All four current models provide NPN output.
Q7: What is the difference between UM-T51DNS and UM-T51NS?
A: UM-T51DNS is Dark-ON, while UM-T51NS is Light-ON.
Q8: Which models provide sensitivity adjustment?
A: UM-T51DNSV and UM-T51NSV provide in-line sensitivity adjustment.
Q9: How is the UM Series mounted?
A: The sensors mount directly with M3 screws. Tightening torque should not exceed 0.3 N·m, and no separate mounting bracket is required.
Q10: What applications are suitable for the UM Series?
A: The series is intended for semiconductor, LCD, precision machinery, and electronic component equipment, including built-in sensing and compact conveyor lines.
