TAKEX_NT30F

30 m Long-Range Self-Diagnostic Photo Sensors

  • TAKEX NT30F provides 30 m through-beam detection, self-diagnostics, transmitter check input, receiver stability alarm, and received-light monitoring.
  • NT30FW adds water cooling for temperatures up to +110°C.
  • Brand TAKEX Takenaka Engineering Co., Ltd.
Features
  • 30 m long-range detection: High-power infrared emission provides a 30 m through-beam detecting distance for opaque objects Φ22 mm or larger.
  • Transmitter and receiver self-diagnostics: The transmitter provides a check signal input and normal monitor output, while the receiver provides a stability alarm output.
  • Received-light stability monitoring: The alarm output activates when the green stability indicator turns off, supporting detection of reduced light reception or optical-axis misalignment.
  • Water-cooled model available: NT30FW incorporates a water-cooling jacket and supports ambient temperatures from −25 to +110°C.
  • Zinc die-cast IP66 housing: The DIN-compatible zinc die-cast housing uses an M3.5 screw terminal block and provides IP66 protection for industrial installation.

Specification notes

  • Self-diagnostic functions are provided on both units: The transmitter provides check-signal input and normal monitor output, while the receiver generates an alarm when received-light stability decreases.
  • Pinhole plates must be fitted to both the transmitter and receiver. Aperture size changes the available sensing range, from 0.4 m with 30P1 to 16 m with 30P10.
  • Mount the sensor on a solid base not subject to vibration. Two M5 screws secure the sensor to the bracket, while two M6 bolts are used to secure the sensor body.
FAQ

Q1: What is the TAKEX NT30F?
A: NT30F is a 30 m long-range through-beam embedded amplifier photo sensor with transmitter and receiver self-diagnostic functions.

Q2: What is the detecting distance of NT30F?
A: The detecting distance is 30 m for opaque objects Φ22 mm or larger.

Q3: How does the self-diagnostic function work?
A: The transmitter provides check input and normal monitor output, while the receiver provides an alarm output when received-light stability falls below the stable level.

Q4: Is Light-ON/Dark-ON operation selectable?
A: Yes. The receiver includes a switch for selecting Light-ON or Dark-ON operation.

Q5: What outputs does NT30F provide?
A: It provides current and voltage control outputs together with an NPN open-collector alarm output.

Q6: Can an earphone be used for optical-axis adjustment?
A: Yes. The receiver includes an earphone jack for monitoring received light during optical-axis alignment.

Q7: What is the difference between NT30F and NT30FW?
A: Both provide 30 m self-diagnostic through-beam sensing. NT30FW adds a water-cooling jacket and supports ambient temperatures up to +110°C.

Q8: Can pinhole plates be used with NT30F?
A: Yes. 30P1, 30P3, 30P5, 30P7, and 30P10 are available, with different aperture sizes and detecting distances.

Q9: What is the protection rating?
A: Both NT30F and NT30FW provide IP66 protection.

Q10: What applications are suitable for NT30F?
A: It is suitable for metal-processing and large conveyor applications, including detecting loose or hanging wire rods with pinhole plates.
