FAQ
Q1: What is the TAKEX PF Series?
A: The PF Series consists of embedded amplifier photo sensors with PFA-covered bodies and PFA-protected cable sections for oil- and chemical-resistant applications.
Q2: What models are available?
A: The lineup includes PF-T3DS, PF-T3S, PF-R03DS, and PF-R03S.
Q3: Can PF Series sensors be used in liquid?
A: Yes. The PFA construction supports immersed sensing, provided the actual liquid is compatible with PFA and the protected cable area is considered.
Q4: What is the detecting distance of PF-T3DS and PF-T3S?
A: Both are through-beam models with a 3 m detecting distance for opaque objects Φ20 mm or larger.
Q5: What is the detecting distance of PF-R03DS and PF-R03S?
A: Both diffuse reflective models provide 300 mm sensing with a 100 × 100 mm white drawing paper target.
Q6: Can the PF Series detect transparent objects?
A: PF-R03DS and PF-R03S support opaque, translucent, and transparent targets, although actual performance depends on target transmittance and surface conditions.
Q7: What is the response time?
A: All four PF Series models provide a response time of 0.35 ms or less.
Q8: Can sensitivity be adjusted?
A: Sensitivity adjustment is not built into the sensor. The optional PF-V2 or PF-V2PN external volume unit can be used when adjustment is required.
Q9: What is the difference between PF-T3DS and PF-T3S?
A: The main difference is operation mode. PF-T3DS is Dark-ON, while PF-T3S is Light-ON. Their main sensing specifications are otherwise the same.
Q10: What applications are suitable for the PF Series?
A: Applications include wafer detection inside semiconductor cleaning tanks, component detection in automotive anticorrosive spraying processes, and food-material detection in chemical atmospheres such as alcohol.
