TAKEX_NE-DC

Compact Long-Range Embedded Amplifier Photo Sensors

  • TAKEX NE-DC Series compact long-range photo sensors offer 10 m and 30 m through-beam, 5 m polarized retroreflective, and 1 m diffuse reflective sensing.
  • All models support 12–24VDC, NPN/PNP dual outputs, 1 ms response, and IP66 protection, with attached-cable and M8 connector options.
  • Brand TAKEX Takenaka Engineering Co., Ltd.
Features
  • Through-beam sensing up to 30 m: The lineup offers 10 m and 30 m through-beam models together with 5 m polarized retroreflective and 1 m diffuse reflective sensing.
  • NPN/PNP dual outputs: All models provide NPN and PNP open-collector dual outputs rated at 100 mA at 30VDC or less.
  • Response within 1 ms: Main models provide a response time of 1 ms or less for high-speed presence and passage detection.
  • External emission inhibit on through-beam models: A no-voltage light emission inhibit input supports operation checks, start-up inspection, and timing control.
  • Cable and M8 connector options: Standard models use attached 2 m cables, while selected models are available with M8 connectors and straight or angled connector cables.

Specification notes

  • Operation mode is model-specific: Models with D in the model number are Dark-ON, while corresponding models without D are Light-ON. All models provide NPN/PNP open-collector dual outputs.
  • Polarized retroreflective sensing distance varies by reflector: K-7 provides 0.03–5 m, K-71 provides 0.03–2 m, K-2 approximately 0.3–3 m, and S-510G provides 0.1–3 m.
  • Through-beam models support NE-P3, NE-P5, and NE-P5X1 pinhole plates. The 10 m through-beam models can also use NE-PFA and NE-PFB polarization filters for adjacent installation.
FAQ

Q1: What is the TAKEX NE-DC Series?
A: The NE-DC Series consists of compact long-range embedded amplifier photo sensors operating from 12–24VDC.

Q2: What sensing methods are available?
A: The lineup includes through-beam, polarized retroreflective, and diffuse reflective sensing.

Q3: What is the maximum detecting distance?
A: NE-T30D-DC, NE-T30-DC, and the corresponding connector model provide through-beam sensing up to 30 m.

Q4: What output does the NE-DC Series provide?
A: All models provide NPN/PNP open-collector dual outputs rated at 100 mA at 30VDC or less.

Q5: What is the response time?
A: Main NE-DC Series models provide a response time of 1 ms or less.

Q6: Can NE-M5R-DC detect mirror-like objects?
A: Yes. It uses polarized retroreflective sensing and provides a 0.03–5 m range with the K-7 reflector.

Q7: Can NE-R10-DC detect transparent objects?
A: Its target specification includes opaque, translucent, and transparent objects, although actual sensing distance varies with target transmittance.

Q8: Do the through-beam models provide an emission inhibit input?
A: Yes. Through-beam models provide a no-voltage light emission inhibit input for operation checks, start-up inspection, and timing control.

Q9: Are M8 connector models available?
A: Yes. NE-T10RD-DC-J, NE-T30D-DC-J, NE-M5RD-DC-J, and NE-R10-DC-J use M8 connectors.

Q10: What applications are suitable for the NE-DC Series?
A: The series is suited to general machinery, logistics, automotive and parts processing, food, and pharmaceutical equipment.
