FAQ
Q1: What is the TAKEX SS10A Series?
A: The SS10A Series consists of 10 mm pitch through-beam light curtains that provide individual beam status for object size, position, and shape detection.
Q2: What models are available?
A: The lineup includes SS10A-T16-CH, SS10A-T32-CH, SS10A-T64-CH, and SS10A-T96-CH.
Q3: What is the detecting distance?
A: All four models provide a detecting distance of 3 m.
Q4: What is the beam interval?
A: The beam interval is 10 mm throughout the series, with a minimum detectable opaque object of Φ17 mm.
Q5: What is the maximum detection width?
A: SS10A-T96-CH has 96 optical axes and provides the maximum detection width of 950 mm.
Q6: Can the status of each optical axis be obtained separately?
A: Yes. The sensor outputs individual-axis status as serial data. Optional B-1304MA/SA boards convert it to separate parallel outputs.
Q7: How does the general-purpose output operate?
A: The NPN open-collector general output turns ON when all optical axes receive light and changes state when one or more beams are blocked.
Q8: What are the response times?
A: Individual-axis serial output responds within 40 ms, within 45 ms with B-1304MA/SA, while the general output responds within 25 ms.
Q9: Can two SS10A sensor pairs be mounted next to each other?
A: Yes. Master/slave mutual interference prevention allows up to two sensor pairs to be installed adjacent to each other.
Q10: What applications are suitable for the SS10A Series?
A: Applications include carton dimension measurement in logistics and object size, position, or shape identification in automotive and parts-handling equipment.
