Q1: What are the key differences between MC22 and MC2?
A: MC22 is smaller and lighter (20 mm width) and supports more sensor/nozzle options, offering better efficiency, integration, and serviceability than MC2.
Q2: Can MC22 directly replace MC2 without major changes?
A: Yes. MC22 is the recommended drop-in successor; most cases require only minor adjustments (mounting, ports, or I/O mapping).
Q3: How many units can be linked, and when is that useful?
A: Up to 8 units. Ideal for multi-station / multi-pick configurations such as sorting, assembly, or multi-jig platforms.
Q4: How can I reduce compressed-air consumption?
A: Use an energy-saving vacuum switch (e.g., MVS-201) with proper throttling and blow-off logic, and select the right nozzle size for your target vacuum and leak rate.
Q5: Does MC22 support digital signals and PLC/robot integration?
A: Yes. Pair with digital vacuum switches and solenoid outputs for suction confirmation, alarms, and energy-saving control via PLC/robots.
Q6: What if I still have MC2 units—service and spares?
A: We recommend migrating to MC22. Run a pilot swap to validate nozzle/signal equivalence and ensure a smooth changeover.
