FAQ
Q1: What is the TAKEX KSS85 Series?
A: The KSS85 Series is a contact-type force sensitive sheet sensor system consisting of the KSS85 amplifier and KS-100 or KS-15 sensing sheets.
Q2: What models are included in the KSS85 Series?
A: The series includes the KSS85 amplifier and two force sensitive sheets, KS-100 and KS-15.
Q3: What is the difference between KS-100 and KS-15?
A: KS-100 has a 20 × 100 mm detecting area, while KS-15 has a smaller 4 × 14 mm detecting area.
Q4: Is KSS85 affected by object color or material?
A: No. Its contact sensing method is unaffected by object color, material, or shape and is not affected by ambient light.
Q5: What is the detection sensitivity of the KSS85?
A: The reference detection sensitivity is 300 g, approximately 3 N, with sensitivity adjustment functions available.
Q6: Does the KSS85 support both NPN and PNP outputs?
A: Yes. NPN and PNP open collector outputs are selectable, with a maximum load current of 100 mA at 30VDC.
Q7: Can NO and NC operation be selected?
A: Yes. Normally Open and Normally Closed operation modes are selectable.
Q8: Does the KSS85 include timer functions?
A: Yes. ON delay, OFF delay, ON/OFF delay, one-shot, and timer-off modes are available with settings from 1 to 9,999 ms.
Q9: Can the KSS85 be used for robot gripping confirmation?
A: Yes. Applications include robot hand gripping confirmation and detection of cables or tubes where the gripping position may vary.
Q10: What other applications are available for the KSS85 Series?
A: Applications include mesh pallet seating, objects with different transparency, lumber arrival, tool presence in trays, and start switches.
