FAQ
Q1: What is the TAKEX NE Series?
A: The NE Series consists of ultra-compact photo sensors integrating an AC/DC power supply and relay output in an 18 × 55 × 35 mm housing.
Q2: What sensing methods are available?
A: The lineup includes through-beam, polarized retroreflective, and diffuse reflective sensing.
Q3: What is the maximum detecting distance?
A: NE-T30D, NE-T30, and their connector versions provide through-beam sensing up to 30 m.
Q4: What is the detecting distance of the NE-T10R models?
A: NE-T10R models provide 10 m through-beam sensing for opaque objects Φ20 mm or larger.
Q5: Can NE-M5R detect mirror-like objects?
A: Yes. NE-M5R models use polarized retroreflective sensing and cover 0.03–5 m with the K-7 reflector.
Q6: What is the detecting distance of NE-R10?
A: NE-R10 models provide 1 m diffuse reflective sensing for opaque and translucent objects.
Q7: Is Light-ON/Dark-ON operation selectable?
A: Operation is determined by the model. D models are Dark-ON, while the corresponding models without D are Light-ON.
Q8: What output does the NE Series provide?
A: The series uses relay output. Attached-cable models provide 1c output, while connector-pigtail models provide 1a output, rated at 1 A.
Q9: Can two through-beam sensors be installed close together?
A: NE-T10R models can use NE-PFA and NE-PFB polarization filters to support adjacent sensor installation.
Q10: What applications are suitable for the NE Series?
A: Applications include general machinery, logistics, factories, and automotive equipment, including coil-material level detection and vehicle position detection in multilevel parking systems.
