A: The SWD55 detects punch holes with a diameter of Φ8 mm or larger.
Q3: Can the SWD55 distinguish between one and two holes?
A: No. The SWD55 is dedicated to single-hole detection. The SWD60 Series should be used when single- and double-hole differentiation is required.
Q4: What is the effective detecting width?
A: The effective detecting width is 300 mm.
Q5: What installation distance is required?
A: The transmitter and receiver should be installed 400–1000 mm apart, with at least 200 mm between the steel coil and each sensing unit.
Q6: How is optical-axis alignment performed?
A: Dedicated alignment devices are built into the transmitter and receiver, and the alignment indicators illuminate when the optical axis is correctly aligned.
Q7: How does the SWD55 handle slight lens contamination?
A: The transmitter and receiver circuits provide more than 30 times the operating-level margin, helping maintain detection with minor lens contamination.

A: The controller provides a 1c relay output and an NPN open-collector output.

A: Yes. The one-shot output duration can be adjusted from 0.1 to 1 second, with a response time of 25 ms or less.
