FUJI SEIKI_FWM-L

Non-Water-Soluble Coolant Shock Absorbers

  • FUJI LATEX FWM-L adjustable shock absorbers are designed for machinery exposed to non-water-soluble coolant. The series covers M10–M27 threads, 8–30 mm strokes, and up to 79.3 J absorption energy.
  • FWM-L is discontinued and replaced by the FWM-F Series.
  • Brand FUJI SEIKI
Features
  • Non-water-soluble coolant resistance: The FWM-L Series was designed for industrial machinery where exposure to non-water-soluble coolant may occur.
  • Adjustable hydraulic cushioning: Damping characteristics can be adjusted according to machine load, impact speed, and stopping conditions for smooth deceleration.
  • Multiple-varying orifice design: The multiple-varying orifice structure is suitable for medium-speed impacts from 0.3 to 2 m/s, including pneumatic cylinder applications.
  • Seven size options: The series covers M10×1 to M27×1.5 thread sizes and 8 to 30 mm strokes, with maximum absorption energy of 79.3 J and maximum equivalent mass of 450 kg.
  • FWM-F replacement series: The FWM-L Series has been discontinued and replaced by the FWM-F Series, which uses fluorine seals and covers the application range of the previous coolant-resistant series.

Specification notes

  • The FWM-L Series uses a multiple-varying orifice adjustable structure with an impact speed range of 0.3~2 m/s and a maximum cycle rate of 60 cycles/min. Depending on the model, maximum absorption energy reaches 79.3 J and maximum equivalent mass reaches 450 kg.
  • The FWM-L Series was designed for non-water-soluble coolant environments. Service life depends on coolant type, exposure level, and operating conditions, and the special packing structure should not be continuously operated with the piston rod remaining dry.
  • The FWM-L Series was discontinued at the end of March 2019 and replaced by the FWM-F Series. FWM-F uses fluorine seals and covers the coolant applications previously served by the FWM-E and FWM-L Series.
FAQ

Q1: What is the FUJI LATEX FWM-L Series?
A: The FWM-L Series consists of adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers designed for industrial machinery and environments where non-water-soluble coolant may be present.

Q2: What equipment is the FWM-L Series suitable for?
A: It was designed for machine tools, processing equipment, automation systems, slides, transfer mechanisms, cylinder ends, and other industrial machinery.

Q3: What models are included in the FWM-L Series?
A: Models include FWM-L1008VBD, FWM-L1210MBD, FWM-L1410RBD, FWM-L1612XBD, FWM-L2016EBD, FWM-L2530GBD, and FWM-L2725FBD.

Q4: What is the difference between FWM-L and FWM-E?
A: FWM-L was designed for non-water-soluble coolant, while FWM-E was designed for water-soluble coolant. Both series were later replaced by FWM-F.

Q5: Is the FUJI LATEX FWM-L Series still available?
A: The FWM-L Series was discontinued at the end of March 2019. The FWM-F Series is the designated replacement.

Q6: What is the maximum absorption energy of the FWM-L Series?
A: Maximum absorption energy varies by model and reaches 79.3 J with FWM-L2725FBD.

Q7: What is the impact speed range of the FWM-L Series?
A: The FWM-L Series has an impact speed range of 0.3~2 m/s and a maximum cycle rate of 60 cycles/min.

Q8: What is the replacement for FWM-L shock absorbers?
A: The designated replacement is the FUJI LATEX FWM-F Series, with corresponding size codes available for the former FWM-L models.

Q9: What should be checked when installing an FWM-L shock absorber?
A: Sufficient mounting strength, an external stopper, allowable eccentric angle, impact speed, absorption energy, equivalent mass, and cycle rate should all be checked before use.

Q10: How do I replace an existing FWM-L model?
A: Check the complete model number, thread size, stroke, absorption energy, and cap configuration, then select the corresponding FWM-F model or contact GATO Corporation for replacement selection support.
